Gian Losinger, né en 1996, est un artiste et photographe suisse. Son travail invite à contempler le monde d’un regard empreint de compassion, sans jugement et plein d’interrogation. Diplômé en 2022 d’un Bachelor en Beaux-Arts de la HEAD - Genève, il vit et travaille aujourd’hui à Berne. Gian Losinger explore les notions de collecte, d’archivage et de réflexion critique sur la photographie et son impact sur notre société.
Son approche artistique se concentre sur son environnement immédiat, capturant la beauté des instants quotidiens et des objets familiers. Chaque œuvre saisit un moment singulier qui, intégré à son archive et agencé en installations, compose un tout, invitant le spectateur à considérer tous les moments qui se déroulent simultanément dans l’espace. De cette manière, la photographie ouvre un nouvel espace à vivre et fait naître un futur imaginaire à partir du passé. Dans ses archives, les oeuvres sont classées en trois catégories : Still Life, Bodies et Nature.
En 2024, Gian Losinger présente l’exposition personnelle « I Wish I Called You Sooner » à la Galerie Fabienne Levy à Genève, offrant une immersion dans des scènes domestiques où les petits riens du quotidien sont sublimés. En 2024 également, il présente « May You Bloom Eternally », à la Galerie Fabienne Levy à Lausanne. En 2022, il participe à l’exposition « Tomorrow’s Wind Blows Tomorrow » avec Tashi Brauen à la Galerie Bernhard Bischoff à Berne. Son travail a également été présenté lors d’expositions collectives, notamment « Polymerization (Space Invasion) » en 2020 à la Galerie Fabienne Levy à Lausanne.

Gian Losinger, born in 1996, is a Swiss artist and photographer. His work invites us to contemplate the world with a compassionate, non-judgmental and questioning eye. He graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from HEAD - Geneva, and now lives and works in Bern. Gian Losinger explores the notions of collecting, archiving and critically reflecting on photography and its impact on our society.
His artistic approach focuses on his immediate environment, capturing the beauty of everyday moments and familiar objects. Each work captures a singular moment which, integrated with its archive and arranged in installations, composes a whole, inviting the viewer to consider all the moments unfolding simultaneously in the space. In this way, photography opens up a new space to live in, and gives birth to an imaginary future from the past. The works in his archive are divided into three categories: Still Life, Bodies and Nature.
In 2024, Gian Losinger presents his solo exhibition I Wish I Called You Sooner at Galerie Fabienne Levy in Geneva, immersing us in domestic scenes where the little things of everyday life are sublimated. Also in 2024, he presented May You Bloom Eternally at Galerie Fabienne Levy in Lausanne.
